Karla Böhm

Karla Böhm is a curious and creative mind from Belgium who is currently active as a dee-jay, producer and graphic de-signer. Born and raised in Liège, the city where she made her first appearances behind the decks, she has shaped her musical identity over the past10 years. At first, buying records or files on Bandcamp was related to the aim and purpose to play, dance or make people dance in the club. Whether friend or stranger, all that matters to her is that musical connection, similar to magnetic forces that gather us on the dancefloor, a place of powerful synergies.

Approaching her several projects with the same professionalism, she combines visual with musical acuteness to run her record label sous:sol or to design unique open air experiences with Brüxsel Jardin. At present, she is a well-known figure in Brussels thanks to her unique signature blend of balance, control and playfulness. If she isn’t working on music, graphic design or furniture, Karla keeps travelling around the world in order to widen and refine her personal conception of sound – enrichedby musical encounters.
